Keats wrote nearly all his poetry between 1816 and 1820 and died of tuberculosis at twenty-five. His three volumes include the sonnets On First Looking into Chapman's Homer and Bright Star, the long Endymion, the narrative poems Isabella, The Eve of St Agnes and Lamia, the two unfinished Hyperion epics, the ballad La Belle Dame sans Merci, and the great odes of 1819, to Psyche, a Nightingale, a Grecian Urn, Melancholy and Autumn. His letters, with their remarks on negative capability and the vale of soul-making, are often read alongside the poems.
