What we collect

There are no accounts and no comments, and the only thing you can give us is an email address, if you subscribe. The site is static pages.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to count visits and to see which buy links are used, so we can tell which guides are useful. Google sets cookies for this. You can block them with your browser's settings or an extension and the site works exactly the same.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views, without cookies and without identifying you.

Newsletter

If you subscribe we keep your email address and nothing else, to send the weekly email. It is held by Buttondown, which sends it for us; we never sell or share it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.

Affiliate links

When you click a buy link, Amazon or Bookshop.org may set their own cookies so they can attribute a purchase to this site. Their privacy policies govern what they do with that.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which logs requests for security and operations in the ordinary way.
